When I first discovered the raw food diet, I was super excited about it and jumped right into eating 100% of my food raw.
Over time, I started struggling to stay 100% raw. I kept hearing people say “just go 100% raw, and it will be easy to stay that way.” I kept trying to maintain a 100% raw diet, but I failed numerous times. I felt like a failure! I couldn’t believe I could not stay raw, and at some point I felt no support; some people in the raw community can make you feel that eating 100% raw is the only way to eat a raw food diet.
I decided to take back control of my life!
I decided enough was enough. I was so stressed out to the point where eating 100% raw wasn’t really healthy for me anymore. Stress can kill you, just as fast as an unhealthy diet can. I decided that it was not healthy for me to keep stressing over being 100% raw, and once I made that decision, life got a lot easier. I found that getting healthy was not just about eating 100% raw, but it was about having a balance in all areas of life. This change was not just about food; it was about finding balance in my mind, body and spirit.
I tend to take a ‘whole person’ approach to getting healthy. Being healthy is not just about what you eat; it is about finding balance in all areas of life. You don’t have to eat 100% raw to be healthy. You can slowly and/or quickly increase your raw intake and successfully transition to any level of raw you desire! YOU have to do what works best for you. YOU are in control. There is nothing wrong with eating a High Raw diet. I totally understand, and I want to help and support you as you make this transition.
