Hi Tanisha. Great words of wisdom. Yes, quality. I have been able to get off my diabetes medicine through exercise and eating high quality food. Fresh fruits and greens, nuts and seeds. Keep up the good work and spreading the healthy word!

Was considering purchasing an Avalon product, but saw this article and decided otherwise. What do you think of the new product that launched recently: "YES TO CARROTS" which makes similar claims?

Thanks!

I know what you mean in regards to PCOS, I had exercised a ton before raw and didn't lose a pound. It was not until I found raw that I started to lose weight. We can beat PCOS.

Yes raw foods are becoming so popular not only the effects ob weight loss but also on health. I am suffering from PCOS and losing weight is soo difficult despite of becoming an exercise freak. But since I followed raw food diet, I have lost weight already in the first two weeks and my skin is getting clearer.

Tanisha,

Well written and on point. I was a little hurt when I found out about some of the raw food leaders in the movement coming out and discussing that they were no longer eating a 100% raw food diet. I think I was more shocked than hurt, but I got over it very quickly. Being new in this way of eating, I've come to realize that we must listen to our bodies. I've also learned that we must eat the apple and spit out the seeds. As you have said in your post, take what applies to you and leave the rest. That is how I am dealing with things these days and I am much more at ease.

Take care and best wishes!

Yes, great insight, Tanisha! We rely on food to do too many things it was not meant to do, including comfort us when we are down. Eat for NUTRITION and look to your friends, exercise, or other enjoyable activities to get your mood up!
