Most people, when they start the raw food diet, are super excited and fired up about it. After a while, the excitement can start to disappear, especially if you are used to a standard American diet. Dieters must find creative ways to remain motivated.
Below, I have listed a few ways to help keep you motivated on raw. If you take just a short amount of time, you can have these plans set up and ready to go. So, the next time you don’t feel very motivated, you will have the resources you need readily available.
1. Support Group
- You will definitely want to get involved with some kind of support group, whether online or offline. You can find support in the form of a forum, a group coaching program, or even locally at a raw food meet-up. I have listed some resources to get you started.

2. Create a “Raw Inspiration” Folder
- Create a folder in your browser; call it whatever you like. I call mine “Raw inspiration.” This way, I know this folder is for inspiration.
- Find the Web site for the raw foodist who you admire and who you find inspiring, and bookmark his or her site. I have a folder just like this; it is so quick and easy to access.
- If you don’t know of any raw foodies who you admire, start a search in Google for “raw food” or “raw food blog,” and you’ll be sure to find raw foodies who will keep you inspired. You can go ahead and add my blog to your folder; lol.
3. Sign up for Youtube
- Get on YouTube, and sign up for an account. There are a ton of videos on this Web site on the raw food diet. I’ll get you started with two of my favorite YouTube channels. You’ll definitely want to subscribe to these.
- Don’t forget to add your YouTube account to your raw inspiration folder so that you can access it quickly.
