What do you know about Genetically Modified Food??

May 14th, 2008 by Tanisha

I didn’t know much and I didn’t know that one of my favorite foods are high on the Genetically modified foods.

Corn and Soy are two of the most Genetically Modified foods available today. These have been known to cause liver damage in people. From what I hear organic foods are not genetically modified so if you buy non-organic products they could be Genetically Modified.

Genetically modified foods are foods that have been altered by either the use of bacteria, human or animal genes, are inserted into plants.

Animals fed GMO corn, for example, developed problems of their blood (leukemia), blood pressure, kidney, liver (including significant changes kidney weight as well as lesions on the kidney and liver), allergies to infection, increased blood sugar levels, diseases, and yes, even cancer. These are not minor problems, but major changes in the body. These are a toxic reactions to a poison.

As you can see GMO foods are not healthy or good for us and just like they cause problems in animals they can do the same to humans.

Check out this link below to a video that describes what Genetically Modified foods are and also there is a link below to a list of Genetically Modified foods.

I personally feel that I would like food that have not been altered. I would like to think that the food that was given to us before scientist started creating new solutions should be good enough for us now. I could be wrong but I think naturally grown food would be optimal.

I think everyone should be informed about what is in there food, we should know what we are eating, that is one of the reasons I started this blog.

When I was eating tons of SAD Foods I didn't even know meat had hormones and pesticides, and I know there are millions of people out there just like me and I feel they need to know and at that point they can decide whether they want to eat or not.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts,
    Tanisha

    Thanks,

    Tanisha,
I came across your blog because I was looking to see if others had similar comments as posted on my blog when I wrote about Frankenstein food. I would be highly dubious of the person commenting on here. I actually tracked a similar comment on my blog back to a public relations firm that had GM food companies as its clients. Don't be fooled. The liars and cheaters are out to dumb down people with these comments about GM foods being safe. The fact is there is ample scientific evidence to support the contrary. You should read my last blog post where I 'outed' one of these scam artists.
