Day 4, 5 and 6

April 20th, 2008 by Tanisha

I missed posting and sort of felt bad about it. I’ve been kind of busy, but I’ll give you an small update on how Day 4, 5 and some of today has went.

Day 4 Friday,

Friday night we were busy getting ready to head to Chicago, we made it there around 9:30pm. When we got there we stopped at Jewels, where they had a huge organic section which was very very nice. In Bloomington the Jewel we have do not have a huge organic section so that was nice to see. I wish we had a Whole foods. As for being Raw on Friday, I did great, I maintained.

Day 5

Day of the colonic. Woke up pretty early and made it to the colonic early as well. The experience was ok, I wasn’t as afraid as I was the first time and this time there wasn’t much released but my stomach did feel smaller. Oh this is off the subject but recently I was able to put on a size 18 pants, I couldn’t believe it… I haven’t seen a size 18 since I was 16 or so and I don’t even remember what that was like. When I started raw I was a size 28 back in July now 18 pants and 14/16 top.. wow unbelievable.

My eating for Saturday was a bit challenged, my husband wanted to go to an Indian restaurant and I was afraid the salad would not be good and that I’d be un-happy. So we got there and they did have a salad and that is what I had, it was not the best but it was nice to sit there with my husband and enjoy his company. I did have my own salad dressing and it was good but the lettuce seemed old but still the food was good. Later that night I went out with a friend to Applebee’s and had a salad it was ok, but I’m learning that eating at home is so much more exciting. Here is what I am trying to figure out. How and where can I hang with friends that doesn’t involve eating. See my life before always involved eating out, that was my life and that is what my friends have always known but now eating out and my selections are limited so what can we do instead? Not, sure since my friends still like to eat out so I guess, I will have to bring my own bread and dressing.

Day 6, Today

Not much going on today, I am about to do some Uncooking. I am making Indian Samosa’s , banana chips, Mexican pate, and my favorite Onion, zucchini, and carrot bread, yum yum. Later today I will be meeting with a friend from my meetup group, we’ll meet at Chipotle and have a salad, they do have good salads. Yum.

Talk to you soon,
