Day 3 - 100% RAW

April 17th, 2008 by Tanisha

Well today was a breeze, but I did have thoughts of food come to my mind, but I really don’t want to tempt you and I don’t want to speak it, I know the power is in the tongue so I am trying to not even say it. Matter of fact when it popped in my mind I thought of the restaurant of where I would get the bad food and thought hmmm, do they have salad, and tried to think of what I could have instead of what I know I don’t need or want. I made it I didn’t give in.

As you probably know from my earlier post I am realizing that working at my job is not my passion, I mean how many people actually like there job-very few. Most of us work a job because we have to or we think we have to. I believe that the power is really in our hands but some of us aren’t willing to do the work. It’s easy to sit at a job and collect a check but when you go home you are tired and stressed. I believe that when we are fulfilling our purpose, we are happy and upbeat and ready for another day, I believe also that when we find our purpose we will even do it at no cost, but unfortunately it’s impossible to work for free these days but you know what I mean.

I just thought I’d stress this again. If you are deciding to go raw and you have lived on a SAD diet majority of your life, take it slow, don’t try to rush into being 100% raw because it seems like it would be great for you. I am sure that it will be great but it could also cause some detox symptoms that you might not be ready for.

I have been to Alissa Cohen’s Training and I know she advocates 100% raw, I think that is great but I think what people are missing when she says this is, that she means go 100% and stay 100%, not to go back and fourth, that is not good for your body, probably worst then going from SAD to cooked, because your cells become cleaner the more you go raw and they become smaller. When you decide one day to add those cooked foods back your cells have to stretch again because of the toxins and waste you are putting back in and that is not healthy.

Be kind to yourself, take your time.
