Raw Honey

February 22nd, 2008 by Tanisha

Hey I thought I’d share about my recent experience with raw honey. Not only can you use honey in your raw food recipes but you can use it as a hair conditioner and as face soap. So when I am not in the kitchen using honey I am in the bathroom (I have seperate containers of course) using honey. This morning my hair seemed really dry so I put honey on it because I couldn’t think of anything else and my hair was the shinest I’ve seen in a couple days, I have also been using it on my face and my face feels wonderful and It doesn’t get super dry like it used to.

I don’t have any specific recipes but try these combinations:

Facial and Hair cleanser
Honey - Moisterizer

Lemon - Cleanser

Hair conditioner
Honey and Water you could also add the following:

coconut oil, olive oil, or jojoba oil, Banana, Avocado etc

As you can see we can eat raw and use raw foods/products to cleanse our body and hair now that is something I can live with.

So for those of you on a budget try using raw foods in place of expensive conditioners, and facial cleansers, this could save you a ton.

Oh I forgot to mention don’t put to much lemon in the honey maybe 75% honey and 25% lemon, or less lemon depending on your needs. When I first made up this concoction I used a ton of lemon and my face turned red but it soon cleared up and looked smooth and clean but it also removed a ton of dirt(yay) so have fun with it.

Enjoy
