Do you really know how Pesticides are affecting you and your family?

November 19th, 2007 by Tanisha

It’s funny that on the EPA website it states that Pesticides can cause health problems. EPA is the Environmental Protection Agency, all Pesticides are approved and regulated by them.If they know that these pesticides are not good for humans why would they allow even the tinest amount in our food? They say it’s for our protection but is it really? I can easily wash a few bugs off my vegetables and live a happy live but if I eat Pesticides I could end up with a horrible health condition.I bet it’s safer to eat insects which I’m sure we do all the time without knowing it but I think that is better then a chemical made in a lab that harms people. I like to think that insects were put here for a reason they were created just like we were but the pesticides are man made. Yes I must admit I am a bit freaked out by insects when I see it on my vegetables but I’d rather clean them off then eat chemicals that will harm me.

I also found on EPA’s website a warning that Pesticides may harm children, it may block absorption of important food nutrients necessary for normal healthy growth.

The problem with society is that we don’t do any research we listen to what everyone is saying and and realize how important it is that we get involved and learn about what we are putting into out mouths.

I ask you to take a moment and start researching your food, your household substances that you use to clean the counters and get involved, perhaps this will save your family from suffering. Maybe just maybe you’ll live a higher quality of life.
